Size of the Organization
BDI currently employs approximately 75 people during peak production cycles. 55 of these are
full time staff and 20 are part-time staff members. Reporting to 3 senior level managers are 7
department managers, and 45 (full time) production personnel and 20 additional (part time)
production personnel during statement cycles. Production runs 24 hours per day during peak
production cycles, with full staffing on weekends and holidays to ensure fast statement processing
turnaround.
Production Facility
BDI is located within the Airport Business Park in Inglewood,
CA. We are conveniently located 1 block from the 405 freeway, just north of Los Angeles International
Airport. Our facility includes 65,000 sq. ft. of production, office, and warehouse space.
Data Processing Department
Servers, Workstations, UPS and Connectivity:
- Servers are rack-mounted, multi-processor, enterprise-class systems, with full redundancy on all critical components for maximum uptime
- Redundant firewalls and switches from Cisco Systems
- Powerful workstations from Sun, Intel and Apple
- Storage capability up to 34 TeraBytes on each data storage subsystem (SAN)
- Redundant T1 lines for Internet access
- Internal network supports fiber-based 1GB connectivity
- UPS power supply provides over 8 hours of uptime during a total electric power outage
- Internal IT staff dedicated to supporting the DP Department

Archiving Department
After file processing is done, archiving is performed via:

Laser Imaging Department
- 10 systems imaging up to 85,000 pages per hour
- 10 networked printers imaging up to 15,000 pages per hour
Mail Presorting Department
- 1st and 3rd Class high-speed presorting is available through
Automated Presort Technologies, Inc., an affiliate located within
the same facility
- Postal Technology System with Fast Forward sort capability
